We just popped over to the zoo the other day and saw all the coolest animals but Cole’s favorite part…water from the tiny fountain up front for him to stomp in!
So looks like this summer we’ll be finding all the best splash parks to visit. And I’ve realized that not all splash parks are created equal…so here are the top 8 on my list, go splash and enjoy!
1. Kiener Plaza
Kiener Plaza is finally finished in Downtown! With awesome views of the arch, there’s a great playground and splash area amongst the gardens.
Downtown at Broadway and Market
2. Elise Park
This little neighborhood park has a perfect little splash area. Plus the playground, sports areas and walking trails are nice too. This will be one of the quieter spots to visit, which can be just want you need some days!
12103 Bourbon Street, Maryland Heights, MO
3. City Garden
I mean you can’t have a list of splash parks without City Garden, this water feature will keep the kiddos busy for hours!
Downtown, Market Street
4. Willmore Park
This one took me by surprise, this park is enormous! There are tons of shady spots, paths, lakes and open spaces to enjoy – but the playground and splash area are out of this world (wink wink, get it?, the playground is outer space themed!). The car entrance is off Jamison, which also makes Ted Drewes a quick drive away, just saying.
Jamison and Hampton
5. Tilles Park
Tilles was in my 6 Parks Not to Miss list in 2018, but it is just one of my favorites, so I’ve got to add it in here! The splash area has that nice spongy ground instead of concrete and while it is often pretty busy on the weekends, the whole park is worth the visit!
9551 Litzsinger Rd
6. Sylvan Park
This is a sunny spot, but the water is plentiful. The splash area is a hard surface and no fence, BUT there are lots of features, it really is a fun one!
300 Halsey Road, Saint Louis
7. Brendan’s Playground @ Westhoff Park
This park is truly adorable! It is bug themed and is totally ADA accessible, which is pretty cool. There are lots of umbrellas or covered area to try and stay out of the sun while the kiddos run free!
699 Sheppard Dr, O Fallon, MO
8. Veterans Memorial Park
This might be a best for last situation, this splash park is pretty awesome! It has TONS of features, is fenced in and has bathrooms really close to manage changing back to dry clothes.
18-98 Progress Pkwy, Union, MO
The Zoo and the Botanical Gardens also have very nice splash parks in their paid entry areas. These were all free options, but those are worth the trip as well!
